The School Business Managers’ Association, Queensland has been established to promote the role of Business Services Managers in Queensland State Schools.

The aims and objectives of the association are to:

1. promote professional development of Business Services Managers
2. organise and conduct regular meetings, forums and conferences
3. improve the welfare of its members
4. encourage the support of members through networking and sharing of best practice eg via subscription to an electronic discussion list, etc
5. maintain and improve communication amongst members by production of appropriate publications for the advancement of the Association’s aims and objectives
6. gain recognition as a significant consultative group through representation on all policy making bodies which impact on non-teaching staff in schools
7. advocate for school non-teaching staff within Education Queensland
8. advance the standing of non-teaching staff within school communities
9. promote membership of the Association
