The School Business Managers’ Association, Queensland has been established to promote the role of Business Services Managers in Queensland State Schools.
The aims and objectives of the association are to:
- promote professional development of Business Services Managers
- organise and conduct regular meetings, forums and conferences
- improve the welfare of its members
- encourage the support of members through networking and sharing of best practice eg via subscription to an electronic discussion list, etc
- maintain and improve communication amongst members by production of appropriate publications for the advancement of the Association’s aims and objectives
- gain recognition as a significant consultative group through representation on all policy making bodies which impact on non-teaching staff in schools
- advocate for school non-teaching staff within Education Queensland
- advance the standing of non-teaching staff within school communities
- promote membership of the Association
